Upon realizing that fathers who work from home had access to very little advice about how to juggle their parenting and career responsibilities, Jeremy Durand and Chris Nicholson decided to create a website describing their experience in this increasingly common situation.
Jeremy is an entrepreneur, investor and community volunteer who lives in White River Junction, Vermont. He serves as president of Wilder Group Consulting, a firm that focuses on connecting companies with opportunities to do business with the federal government. His professional roots are in productivity consulting, finance and real estate. Before starting and investing in several small businesses, Jeremy traveled the country consulting for companies of a wide spectrum. A former football player, he now spends his free time coaching at his alma mater high school. He works from a home-based office and has the cutest assistant in the world, his 4-year-old daughter Lydia.
Chris is a writer, editor and photographer based in southern Connecticut and currently living in New York City. His work has appeared in Tennis magazine, Golf Digest, Men’s Health, Wired, Villanova Business magazine, Country Club Quarterly, the New York Times and more, and he has worked with corporations ranging from consulting businesses and marketing firms to industry associations and educational institutions. He is the editor of the books Boycott: Stolen Dreams of the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games and The Lennon Prophecy (New Chapter Press), and is the author of the book Photographing Tennis: A Guide for Photographers, Parents, Coaches & Fans (Sidelight Books). A previous frequenter of cafes and coffee shops, he now does most of his work from home while his baby daughter loses her socks.
